Group Reservation Manager

About the Role
The successful candidate will develop strategies to meet and exceed sales targets of the Central Reservations Team (CRO). This shall be achieved by analysing past performance, identifying areas of improvement, contributing with creative ideas and implementing new approaches to drive sales and optimise team performance.
The position involves working closely with other members of the Barons Eden Commercial Leadership Team to drive and maximise group revenues.
Experience within team development and mentorship is crucial. The candidate shall foster a culture of growth and development within the CRO Team to ensure team members reach their full potential and as a result contributes to a differentiated guest experience.

Your Responsibilities:
* Ensure effective and efficient management of
day-to-day reservation office activities
* Work with and take direction from the Commercial Leadership Team to achieve and surpass financial targets
* Complete end of day productivity and sales reports to analyse and improve results
* Recruit, coach, train and support the CRO team to create a cohesive and motivated team
* Deliver monthly performance reviews and set clear objectives to improve performance to achieve team excellence
* Develop a clear and effective process for dealing with complaints and then reviewing to improve overall performance
* Constant oversight of standards in accurate data entry, record-keeping and auditing, to eliminate errors and guarantee outstanding service delivery to guests
Personal Specification - Essential:
* Minimum two years senior experience in reservations and sales within the hospitality industry
* Excels in managing sales KPI through improving call handling rates, increasing sales yields, and enhancing conversion rates to bookings
* Intuitive problem solver – A solution focused mind, well versed in hotel operations, with the finesse to respond to guest requests efficiently
* Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment, good decision-maker, and forecaster
* A strong leader, mentor and motivator
* A full valid UK driving licence
Shift Patterns:
* 5 days at Head Office are required,
* 40 hours per week
* Please note that flexibility is required and as you will be expected to work as and when necessary to meet business needs. This may include weekend work.
