Job Description
* Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees within the company.
* Process new starters, leavers and adjustments - SMP, SPP, SAP, SSP
* Ensure compliance with tax regulations, pension schemes, and other statutory requirements.
* Handle payroll queries from employees and provide resolutions promptly.
* Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
* Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance team to reconcile payroll accounts monthly.
* Prepare and submit payroll reports to management as needed.
* Support audits by providing payroll-related documentation and information.
* Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Specialist should have:
* Experience in processing payroll within a professional setting.
* Knowledge of payroll software and relevant systems.
* A strong understanding of UK payroll regulations.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
* A proactive approach to resolving payroll-related issues.
* Strong communication skills for liaising with employees and other departments.
