About the role As a Post Office Counter Clerk you’ll provide exceptional customer service to connect people across miles and time, to organise travel money and documents, and to take care of bills and banking. Read | Learn | Play | Bank | Post Notes for this role within branch: Applicant must be 18 due to the nature of some services we offer. Must have confidence in counting high quantity of cash both fast and accurate. We deal with alot of paper documentation and legals in here, things must be processed accurately so attention to detail is a must, getting these things wrong causes the customers issues along with the branch being fined. GDPR regulations must be followed. This contract is for 12 hours basic per week, 3 days minimum availabilty, Saturdays are a must. Ideally the applicant has a desire to begin there career with us here at post office, Overtime available and even more if willing to travel out to other branches (expenses paid for by company). Overtime will increase at some point in the future, previously I was a multisite manager so this position was a 30hr, but due to leavers I now remain in branch. Should this applicant prove strong enough over time then i shall return to other duties and the hours would increase. Applicant must be strong skinned, it's not a job where we get alot of thanks, you must instead pride yourself and the team in what we do. Some days can be hard work and high stress,we get rude comments from customers like any customer facing position, however we always make it through.
