Kids Planet is an independent, family-run group of nurseries providing high-quality nursery care across the UK.
We are expanding our Kids Planet Day Nurseries Training Academy and are seeking an experienced & qualified Tutor/Assessor with solid occupational experience in the Early Years sector. The role involves delivering Apprenticeship standards up to level 5, including Functional Skills up to level 2, and CPD training. This position is based in the Yorkshire Area.
Responsibilities include:
* Assessing and supporting learners in early years settings working towards Apprenticeships in Early Years Childcare up to level 3 (and ideally Level 5). This includes delivering face-to-face, online group, and 1:1 tutorials at various settings.
* Observing learners in their workplace to gather evidence for their Apprenticeship.
* Planning and conducting initial assessments and course reviews with learners, and creating learner portfolios.
* Delivering and assessing Functional Skills in Maths, English, and ICT.
* Designing and delivering CPD courses for staff development.
* Collaborating with nursery managers and mentors to facilitate evidence collection.
* Managing your schedule to ensure timely visits and reviews.
* Maintaining documentation on learners' progress.
* Supporting, advising, and motivating learners.
Ideal candidate qualities:
* A recognised Assessor award: D32/D33, A1, TAQA, or CAVA.
* A recognised teaching qualification such as Level 3/4 Certificate in Education and Training (desirable).
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare.
* Experience delivering Apprenticeships in Early Years Childcare levels 2/3, and ideally level 5.
* Experience delivering Functional Skills up to level 2.
* Solid occupational experience in Early Years; experience in Team Leading, Management, and QA/IV awards is advantageous.
* Full, clean driving license and access to a vehicle.
