About the Role
Are you an experienced Non‑Medical Prescriber passionate about improving the lives of people affected by drug and alcohol dependence? We're looking for an experienced Band 7 Non‑Medical Prescriber (28 hours per week) to join our specialist substance misuse service in Southend‑on‑Sea. This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and confident clinician to provide expert prescribing support and holistic care for individuals affected by drug and alcohol dependence, while playing a key leadership role within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
* Delivering evidence‑based non‑medical prescribing and clinical interventions
* Managing complex drug and alcohol cases with autonomy and professionalism
* Providing clinical guidance and support to colleagues and external partners
* Leading on risk management, safeguarding, and medicines management
* Supporting service improvement and best practice across the team
* Mentoring and developing staff while promoting a culture of continuous learning
* Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
* Qualified Non‑Medical Prescriber
* Strong experience within substance misuse services
* Excellent knowledge of controlled drugs legislation and clinical governance
* A confident leader with strong communication and decision‑making skills
* Passion for delivering person‑centred, recovery‑focused care
