About the Role There is now an exciting opportunity to join the administration team as a School Management Administrator on a fixed term maternity cover contract, based at our Clifton campus with flexible office and remote home working. All School of Science and Technology administration roles are expected to be present on Clifton campus in the School administration office a minimum of two to three days per week (for full time roles, pro-rata for part time roles), with increases of on-campus working during appropriate peak periods. The School Management Administrators provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to designated senior members of academic staff and School-level projects and initiatives. Duties will include forward planning, diary management, booking travel and accommodation, servicing formal meetings and production and maintenance of key documentation. The successful candidate will display excellent attention to detail, have a solution-focused approach to all tasks and display an ability to work on their own initiative. An ability to prioritise your workload and to be effective in changing situations is key; you will be able to operate using your own initiative and professional judgement, and will possess the skills to multitask and complete tasks promptly and accurately. You will be an excellent team player with the proven ability to work well under pressure. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of providing administrative support to senior members of staff, taking formal meeting minutes, tracking actions, and extensive experience of using Microsoft Office applications, in particular Outlook, SharePoint, Word and Excel.
