Oakmont Services Group are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Registered Manager to join us on a permanent basis in our 4 bedroom service in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire. The home offers placements to young people between the ages of 8 to 19, who have social, emotional and mental health needs. We provide high quality homes which offer an atmosphere that promotes safety, trust, fairness and privacy for its young people within an environment, which is safe and caring. Being a Registered Manager at Oakmont Services Group means you will work very closely with young people that may display challenging behaviour and so you will be required to develop excellent relationships which are built and driven by trust. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our young people are supported on a practical basis to ensure that they are prepared for a bright and productive future. Within your role as a Registered Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of running the home, leading a staff team and ensuring that compliance is met in accordance with regulatory requirements. Duties: As a Registered Manager, you’ll be responsible for the following: * Leading a successful staff team and managing all day-to-day operations of the home. * Ensuring that the staff team receives supervision and ensuring that they are fully supported within their roles. * Inducting new staff members into the homes policies, procedures and culture. * Ensuring the highest standards of care and support are provided in relation to the young people’s physical, behavioural and emotional needs. * Being the young person’s champion and as part of the wider team strive to ensure that they achieve their aspirations and full potential. * Ensuring effective care planning and risk assessing is conducted on a regular basis. * Supporting and encouraging engagement with education to ensure that the young people achieve their full potential. * You will also be responsible in overseeing key working in line with our individualised key working program which is overseen by clinical professionals. A QCF Level 5 Health and Social Care in Children and Young People qualification is essential for this role. Successful applicants will have previous management experience of working with children and young people with challenging behaviour. We are also interested in hearing from candidates who have strong relatable experience outside of working with children and young people but who are looking for a new environment and challenge.
