Introduction
This role will focus on driving commercial growth across Toluna’s Market Research Agency and Consulting client segments. You will act as a key commercial partner for existing accounts with growth potential, while also identifying and securing new business opportunities. The role requires a balance of proactive relationship management, consultative selling, and business development to maximise revenue and strengthen Toluna’s market position.
You will work closely with clients to understand their business objectives, research methodologies, and data needs, positioning Toluna’s panel, services and technology to deliver measurable value.
Responsibilities
* Lead business development efforts within the Market Research Agency and/or Consulting sectors, identifying and converting new client opportunities.
* Retain, cross-sell and upsell within existing accounts, ensuring strong year-on-year revenue growth.
* Meet or exceed revenue targets across both existing and new client portfolios.
* Build and maintain trusted relationships with key client stakeholders, including senior and C-level executives.
* Develop and execute account plans and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with the Managing Director – Market Research & Consulting, France, Netherlands & UK.
* Create proposals and presentations that articulate Toluna’s value proposition across insights, technology, and data solutions.
* Represent Toluna at client meetings and industry events, contributing to our visibility and thought leadership within the sector.
* Maintain accurate pipeline and client activity data within CRM systems (Salesforce).
* Present quarterly performance updates to the MR & Consulting leadership team.
* Line-manage and develop 1–2 Account Executives, supporting skill development and performance.
* Collaborate as part of a high-performing commercial team.
Experience
* Proven success in exceeding sales targets through a mix of account development and new business generation.
* Experience selling to Market Research Agencies and/or Management Consultancies, ideally with an insights, data, or technology focus.
* Strong industry network and the ability to leverage relationships to uncover new opportunities.
* Skilled in managing full sales cycles from lead generation to close across a range of deal values.
* Demonstrated capability in multi-stakeholder engagement and director-level negotiations.
* Comfortable with both transactional and consultative sales approaches, managing short and long sales cycles.
* Experience in independently opening and developing new client relationships, with supporting performance data.
* Prior experience managing and developing junior team members is desirable.

* Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.

* Resilient, proactive, and self-motivated with a strong results focus.
* Skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
* Proficient user of Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
* Minimum 5+ years in consultative sales with a consistent record of driving growth in a fast-paced environment.
