Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in a primary school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support a pupil on a one-to-one basis in and out of the classroom.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective learning activities.
* Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Help pupils to stay focused, motivated, and engaged throughout the school day.
* Be involved with the school Senco and outside agencies when needed.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children, ideally within a school or educational environment.
* Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with autism and rejection behaviours, is essential.
* Ability to remain calm and patient in a busy and fast-paced classroom setting.
* Enthusiastic, approachable, and professional manner.
* Reliable, flexible, and committed to supporting children’s development and wellbeing.
* Able to provide two professional references.
* DBS on the update service – or be willing to obtain one
* Have previous experience with EHCP’s.
