About The Role
We are looking to appoint a Maintenance & Grounds Operative at our Denaby service.
The role primarily involves providing high standards of general maintenance to the buildings and grounds of the service. You will be responsible for ensuring the buildings are well maintained, repairs are rectified swiftly, and they comply with relevant health and safety regulations, along with maintaining the grounds to a high standard.
The base of this role will be Denaby; however, you may be required to travel to other services from time to time.
Working hours and days: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4.30pm.
About You
The successful candidate must be physically fit, enthusiastic, and experienced in a similar grounds or gardening role. Experience with grounds tools and equipment (hedge trimmers, pedestrian mowers, strimmers, etc.) is highly desirable, but formal training will also be provided.
This role involves working in residential gardens, wider communal spaces, and woodland areas. Responsibilities include checks on outdoor playing equipment, external cleaning or repairs, and site management duties.
You should be prepared for the physical and outdoor nature of the role, working in all weathers. As part of a small grounds team, you must be a good team player and capable of building positive relationships with the people we support and other employees.
