I am recruiting for a seasoned Freelance Site Manager to lead site operations on a complex Anaerobic Digester (AD) project near Selby, starting this October. This is a major civils-led scheme involving significant RC and earthworks components, ideal for a civils-focused manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Oversee daily site activities ensuring health, safety, quality and programme targets are met.
•Manage multiple civils packages including:
oLarge reinforced concrete tanks
oSilage clamps & industrial slabs
oSteel frame erection (HD bolts)
oDrainage, ducting, tarmac, and external works
oBulk earthworks and muck shift
•Interface with the Project Manager, client, and engineering teams.
•Manage site logistics, materials, permits and progress reporting.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
•Proven track record as a Site Manager on civils/infrastructure projects.
•Experience with RC structures, steel frames, and industrial civils.
•Strong working knowledge of health & safety regulations and site coordination.
•Ability to read and interpret drawings, manage multiple trades, and maintain progress SMSTS, CSCS (Black or White Card), and First Aid – essential.
•Previous experience on energy from waste, agri-infrastructure, or biogas/AD projects – advantageous.
