Job overview

We are recruiting a senior clinical co-ordinator who is passionate about the work they do, to join our friendly team within NELFT.

The main aim of the Diabetes Foot Protection Service is to improve and enhance our service delivery to meet the challenges that face our diabetic population in Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge through integration and collaboration. We want to improve patient outcomes to help our residents reduce the risk of developing active limb-threatening or life-threatening diabetic foot problem.

The newly formed Diabetes Foot Protection Service, will provide podiatry services to GPs across the Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge borough (BHR). The population that we serve are both multi-cultural and diverse.

This vacancy would suit a senior clinical administrator preferably with an NHS background who would like to join NELFT.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate must have experience in the following

We have a diverse Admin and clinical team whose sole objective is to make sure that all residents have access to the help they need to live the life they want.

10. Work closely with the other senior clinical co-ordinator with whom the position will be shared
11. Manage triage booking system
12. Support the data Lead in the management of the admin team
13. Create and provide reports for senior management
14. Rota management
15. support Data Lead in performance management
16. Minute taking
17. Make administrative arrangements for ensuring new starters receive Trust and team inductions.

Working for our organisation

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).


Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Higher cost area supplement

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,108 to a maximum of £5,177).

Qualifications

Essential criteria

21. NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy
22. NVQ level 3 in relevant subject or equivalent level of proven experience

Experience

23. Experience in supporting the management of a team
24. Significant administrative experience
25. Creating and maintaining office systems

Desirable criteria

26. Experience with NHS software systems such as RIO, PCMIS and IAPTUS
27. Working in an NHS environment
