Job Description of Shop Assistant
Full-Time Shop Assistant
As a Shop Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Shop Manager with daily tasks. This includes helping customers with their order, taking customer phone calls, and assisting the Shop Manager in the shop. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have excellent customer handling skills.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Receiving, unpacking and arranging new shipments from suppliers and vendors
* Arranging and labelling goods in the display shelves
* Assisting customers in finding the products they're looking for.
* Processing customer payments at the checkout point/till
* Addressing customer complaints and inquiries
* Providing shopping advice and recommendations to customers
* Cleaning and rearranging the store after hours
* Collaborating with other team members to keep the sales floor area clean and organised at all times.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in the similar role is preferred.
* Be able to maintain a positive attitude towards colleagues and customers.
* A keen eye for detail and accuracy.
* A strong team player.
* Strong problem-solving abilities.
* Mandarin or Cantonese speaking (preferred)
You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have excellent customer handling skills. This position will include essential weekend work.

Pay: National minimum wage
Location: Unit 2, Broad Oak House, Broad Oak Rd, Canterbury CT2 7PX (In Person)
