About the role
Dealerweb provides a suite of business-critical SaaS solutions to the Automotive industry and we’re seeking a new Development Team Lead to lead our team of cross-functional Software Engineers.
CitNOW Group is undergoing an exciting period of transformation, alongside broader efforts across the technology group to more tightly integrate its portfolio into a market-leading offering. With the appointment of a new CTO and CPO in 2024, CitNOW Group has ambitious plans for its software products, in which Dealerweb plays a central and instrumental role.
Working on a high-scale .NET codebase, you’ll have a perfect blend of technical skills and leadership qualities, taking responsibility for the output of the Development team. Working with the Technical Lead to agree coding standards and pattern adoption, you’ll be working on a basis of continuous improvement to ensure these business-critical platforms are properly maintained and supported.
Key responsibilities include:
* Ensure the Development team is working effectively and delivering value consistently, aligned to the Product roadmap
* Help to facilitate (and run, where necessary) agile ceremonies, ensuring concerns, barriers, blockers and other items are appropriately raised, escalated and resolved
* Hands-on development (expected to be ~50%)
* Line management of the Development team, including coaching, mentoring, performance appraisals, personal development planning and succession planning
* Work with internal and external talent acquisition stakeholders to assess, interview and select candidates to hire
* Write job specifications aligned to business and team needs
* Articulate technical debt to Product, highlighting critical timescales (e.g., deprecation dates, supplier switch-offs, etc)
* Contribute regularly to conversations around process and systems, to help ensure maximum efficiency across the company
* Support the Compliance team with the scoping of penetration tests and the analysis of the findings, to be fed into the product roadmap (aligned to the group remediation schedule)
* Support the Compliance team on information security assessments, coordinating with the Development team and other technical stakeholders to provide guidance on answers
We are looking for:
* In-depth knowledge of C# on both .NET and .NET Core
* High competency on relational databases preferably both MSSQL and PSQL
* Knowledge of non-relational databases such as MongoDB advantageous
* AngularJS expertise is ideal, otherwise strong experience of VueJS/ReactJS with the desire to lean Angular
* Strong experience working with Entity Framework
* Proficiency and understanding of AWS services and infrastructure is beneficial
* Expert level proficiency with test automation and test automation frameworks
* Understanding of architectural patterns
* Strong experience working with APIs (both SOAP and REST)
* High level of understanding of technical security and secure development methodologies
