Job Description Job Title: Quality Engineer Location: Biggin Hill Hours: Full time Overview: - We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our well-established EASA / CAA Part 145 and CAA Part 21, sub-part G organisation. The Quality Engineer will be based at Biggin Hill Airport and ideally have been certifying staff position holder (Form S R G 1 7 6 9 ). The successful candidate must be flexible and dedicated to our company’s progress and work within budgets and constraints applicable to a growing company. Key Responsibilities: - • Conformity of outbound products and releasing on CAA/EASA Form one. • Development and maintenance of the Company Quality System policies and procedures • Maintaining and updating the Company MOE, POE and QMS • Conducting and maintaining the company Quality Audit program • Hosting Customer inspections • Implementing and continuously improving the Quality and Safety System. • Maintaining the independence of the quality department/s ensuring compliance with EASA regulations • Maintaining present knowledge of EASA Part 145 and Part 21, Subpart G and SMS Risk based management. • Carrying our risk assessments including Health and Safety. • Negotiating with the CAA, EASA and other airworthiness authorities on behalf of the Company • Conducting investigations compliance and preparing reports on quality, technical and maintenance issues as required to show compliance with regulations as appropriate • Auditing and monitoring of service providers / suppliers to ensure the required standards are being met • Lead RCCA activities using 8D methologies for internal non-conformances, IOR’s and MOR’s • Acting as the onsite focal point for all communication with the in respect to quality and Health and safety matters. • Creating quality plans and reviewing inspection requirements and ensuring that they are met • Maintaining Calibration and tooling control. • Monitoring and updating KPI’s / SPI’s • Accomplishing such other duties as may be reasonably directed by the Accountable Manager or Quality Manager Knowledge & Qualifications: - • At least 3 years Quality experience in Aircraft interiors or a similar role • CQI certificate or diploma in Quality assurance • Degree in Aerospace Engineering Experience: - • Experience in aircraft component repair & component manufacturing workshops • Experience in management and quality control / quality assurance activities of aircraft maintenance and repair organisation’s • Successful completion of a Quality Auditing Course E.g. EN/AS 9100 Auditor/Lead Auditor course • Thorough knowledge of International and National Civil Aviation legislation, EASA, CAA • Ability to prioritise and handle pressure • Conform to EASA / CAA Part 145, EASA 21 Sub Part G. • A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office packages • Ideally from an interior component manufacturing background. Skills, Competencies & Personal Attributes: - • Good numeracy and literacy. • Practical knowledge of MS Office packages. • Confident verbal and written communication skills with good telephone manner. • The ability to work in a fast-paced pressured environment. • A strong attention to detail is required.
