About the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the HR Services team located in Overline House, Southampton. Working as an HR Co-ordinator, this role will provide comprehensive HR administrative support to a range of stakeholders in accordance with people management policies, procedures, conditions of service, collective agreements, regulatory frameworks, and management information.
Successful applicants will need to demonstrate a positive, proactive, and adaptable approach to their work and possess the ability to prioritize a heavy workload. You must also be a team player and an effective communicator.
As an HR Co-ordinator, you will work alongside HR Business Partners in arranging formal meetings, preparing hearing documentation, note-taking, and updating activity trackers and case summary records. As a strong influential communicator, you will also be required to respond to enquiries of varying complexity and provide information in an accurate and timely manner.
Minimum requirements
* Proven experience of working in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
* Previous experience as an HR administrator is advantageous.
* Flexible approach to ensure volume filing and post logging are completed daily.
* Strong time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Attention to detail, especially in producing formal documentation or minute-taking in meetings.
* Experience with IT packages including Microsoft Office.
* Qualified or part-qualified in people management or development is advantageous.
About the location
Overline House is conveniently situated overlooking Southampton Central Station and is accessible by public transport. The station is close to West Quay, a hub for retailers and restaurants, and provides excellent links to London, coastal areas, and the Isle of Wight.
Working pattern
37 hours per week over 5 days, Monday to Friday, during office hours.
Please note: This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
