We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Nurse to join our Primary Care Team at HMP Altcourse, a category B prison located in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool. The role is integral to the healthcare team, involving the development and delivery of clinics, undertaking examinations and tests, answering emergency bells, and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency. You will work within a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver a nurse‑led service and prevent hospital admissions. The position is full time with an annual salary of up to £40,211 per annum, depending on experience. You will work 37.5 hours per week, 7:45 pm to 7:15 am, with a rotation onto day shifts every quarter to complete a period of up to six months to ensure full awareness and compliance with process and requirements.
Responsibilities
 * Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse‑led service and prevent hospital admissions.
 * Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
 * Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse‑led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi‑disciplinary team.
 * Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision by providing outstanding evidence‑based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
 * Deliver non‑judgemental care that makes a real difference, as defined throughout our bespoke Health in Justice competency framework.

Qualifications
 * Registered nurse, Adult
 * Current professional qualification (NMC)
 * Evidence of Continued Professional Development
 * Understanding of the complexities of multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency working
 * A non‑judgemental and compassionate approach
 * Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards
 * Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment (preferred, not essential)
