Senior Manager – Financial Accounting Requirements
To be successful as a Senior Manager – Financial Accounting, you will have:
* Active Government Clearance
* Qualified accountant with a recognised qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
* Extensive experience in running and overseeing accounts payable and financial processes
* Proven experience in annual reporting of accounts
* Substantial technical accounting expertise
* Significant experience managing payroll and accounts payable functions
Desirable Requirements
* Oracle experience
* Public sector background

About the Senior Manager – Financial Accounting Role
The Senior Manager – Financial Accounting will be responsible for managing and delivering all financial activities for assigned functions. This role offers the opportunity to develop and deliver functional strategy, drive performance improvements, and lead a small team within a rigorous governance and control framework.
Senior Manager – Financial Accounting Key Responsibilities
Manage and deliver all financial activities as assigned to time, cost and quality standards. Develop and deliver functional strategy and drive delivery of key objectives. Line manage and task manage team members in accordance with company policies and procedures. Provide guidance to and drive performance of your team. Ensure a rigorous internal finance control and governance framework is in place and complied with. Drive identification and implementation of process improvement and innovation activities. Support and develop financial policy and procedures as required. Maintain high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality. Manage provision of financial information on a timely basis. Ensure analysis and interpretation of financial information is provided to support business needs. Establish, monitor and report on compliance with financial processes. Ensure integrity of financial information provided by team. Develop and maintain effective senior stakeholder relationships. Provide training and development opportunities for Finance Managers and Analysts. Coordinate and plan team deliverables. Lead by example to create a high-performing team.

Rate: £77.20 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: Reading, Berkshire (2-3 days per week onsite)
Type: Contract
Duration: 18 months
