Our Venture Lab is seeking a highly skilled Marketing Manager to join our team. The role involves working closely with studio developers, focusing on publishing advisory and support, especially for PC titles launching on Steam. The position requires frequent travel and emphasizes a collaborative, advisory role to ensure our studio partners succeed in a competitive gaming market.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop clear and actionable marketing strategies for each game to maximize visibility and engagement on Steam.
2. Execute marketing campaigns across various channels including digital advertising, social media, email marketing, influencer partnerships, aligning with overall go-to-market strategies and budgets.
3. Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and optimize campaigns to improve effectiveness and ROAS.
4. Advise on localization of marketing materials and game content for different regions, focusing on Europe and North America.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, developers, platform partners, and marketing agencies.
6. Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for innovation.
7. Prepare reports and presentations on campaign performance, insights, and recommendations for internal teams and partners.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
1. At least 8 years of experience in video game marketing, with a successful track record of launching PC titles on Steam.
2. Deep understanding of Steam publishing strategies, including store page optimization, pricing, SKUs, participation in events like Next Fest and major sales festivals.
3. Experience with Steamworks, Steam analytics, UTM tools, and other consumer insights tools.
4. Skills in user acquisition and media buying, including data analysis, trend identification, and media spend optimization.
5. Strong project management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and developers.
7. Fluency in English is required.
8. Understanding of gaming culture and industry trends, especially for indie and AA titles.
9. Experience working in a video game publisher across various genres and studios is a plus.
10. Experience in a consultancy or advisory role to game studios is advantageous but not required.
