Mint Velvet began when founders Liz Houghton and Lisa Agar-Rea set out to create an unfailingly chic collection of contemporary, great quality staples and elevated fits that they felt were missing from their wardrobes. Feeling frustrated that they couldn’t find anything they wanted to wear, or the great customer service they craved, they started fusing relaxed comfort with glamorous yet wearable fashion trends. Relaxed Glamour was born.

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for the ideation and writing of our content, under the guidance of the Content Editor; telling our Brand story and ensuring the golden thread of MV’s handwriting is consistent. You will be brimming with new ideas for fashion articles to elevate our collections, offering styling advice reflecting our customers lifestyles and our making sense of fashion angle. You will ideally be comfortable being part of video content in front of the camera, effortlessly capturing the essence of our Relaxed Glamour ethos.

The Role:
* Supporting the Content Editor, you will be responsible for the delivery of a seamless tone of voice across Mint Velvet’s content offering. This spans mintvelvet.com, MVWORLD and all marketing campaigns and assets emails, social channels, product descriptions, store assets and brochures
* Day to day, your role will include writing and creating briefs for emails, writing content stories for MVWORLD and updating the marketing content calendar, briefing in the design and following it through to build
* Own the content production and planning process, you will create briefs and manage workflow across Asana (workflow tool) and the marketing content calendar, working closely with the design, trade, merch and buying teams to ensure deadlines are met and content is delivered on time, from conception to sign off
* Work closely with the social team to produce content for Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest, always thinking about how we can elevate our Relaxed Glamour and making sense of fashion messaging through dynamic and engaging content
* Formatting and scripting talking points for videos, Reels and our regular Live Shopping episodes. Coordinating with the Social Media Manager and Digital Marketing Lead on Paid Ads for Meta, TikTok and Pinterest
* Managing and owning the product copy process, being the gatekeeper for accuracy and TOV. Working with our imagery team and freelance writer, editing and uploading product titles and descriptions ensuring deadlines are met
* Staying in constant communication with Buying, Merchandising and Garment Tech teams to ensure necessary information is available and accessible on Product Lifecycle Management software, as well as accommodating any amends and requests across all ecommerce copy
* Ensuring consistency across mintvelvet.com including the homepage, product landing pages, product descriptions and store and service communications.
* Supporting the Content Editor on ad hoc copy projects such as packaging, labels, store POS, press events etc
What you'll have:
* 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role, as a copywriter at a brand, publication or agency, with a creative mindset and the ability to translate ideas into first-class content
* Excellent written skills and an exceptional eye for detail, spelling and grammar. You are a brilliant story teller
* You live and breathe fashion and are brimming with ideas for content
* Good knowledge of the fashion market and great commercial awareness – maintaining a customer focus in all activities and decisions
* A self-starter attitude - you relish the opportunity to grow and take content to the next level and build the TOV and brand storytelling at Mint Velvet
* Excellent organisation skills and can plan and prioritise your time proactively
* Keen collaborator and team player, with the ability to work well under pressure, to tight deadlines – able to anticipate challenges, responding and adapting effectively
* A flair for working with individuals across different departments
* An understanding of SEO best practices would be an advantage but not essential
* An eagerness to feature in content across the brand, social channels, video content and our Live Shopping franchise is ideal, but not essential.
