Supplier Relationship Executive – Leicester or Bexhill (Hybrid) – one day a week in the office preferred

Role Overview
In this role, you will work across suppliers in your specific category to deliver projects and manage key suppliers, contract risk and adherence, and help drive innovation and improved value from suppliers. You will partner with Supplier Relationship Managers to identify and prioritise opportunities, drive business engagement, and research latest developments, key players, innovations and opportunities in your category.
Job details – responsibilities
* Work with Supplier Relationship Manager team to operate strategic alignment between the business and the supplier base, aligning strategic objectives and contributing to the strategic roadmap.
* Ensure appropriate supplier meetings are conducted in line with the supplier framework, define the agenda, chair the meeting, take minutes and capture follow‑up actions for key meetings.
* Support operational and commercial teams with activities that allow for a better outcome for Hastings and its suppliers.
* Highlight and log supplier risks and put actions in place to address them and prevent issues moving forward, ensuring internal governance processes are carried out consistently for all suppliers.
* Ensure processes are in place to monitor regulatory adherence and compliance with internal quality standards and expectations.
* Support the wider Supplier Relationship Manager team with any activities, initiatives and projects as required.
Essential Skills / Experience
* Good knowledge of motor claims handling processes and supplier contractual obligations.
* Strong communication skills, both internally and externally, with the ability to promote a strong culture for the SRM team and be the “know‑how” person for supplier support.
* Understanding of complaints procedures and governance/assurance controls.
