This role is suited to a graduate or early-career professional who combines strong writing skills with a data-informed approach to social media. You will be responsible for executing the content calendar, supporting campaign copywriting, and analysing performance to continuously optimise engagement and reach. Key Responsibilities Plan, schedule, and publish daily content across Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and TikTok, ensuring alignment with brand voice and marketing objectives. Write and edit high-quality copy for social posts, blogs, newsletters, and email marketing campaigns. Proactively manage community engagement by monitoring comments, direct messages, and brand mentions; respond in a timely and brand-appropriate manner. Track, measure, and report on social media KPIs (reach, impressions, engagement rate, click-throughs) using native platform insights and Hootsuite. Compile clear monthly performance reports with actionable insights to inform future content strategy. Collaborate with the wider marketing team on campaign coordination, including asset creation, timeline management, and cross-channel promotion. Stay current with UK-specific social media trends, platform updates, and competitor activity to identify new content opportunities. Essential Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Media, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline; or a strong portfolio demonstrating equivalent practical experience. Demonstrable understanding of major social platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok) and their respective best practices for organic growth. Excellent written English with strong editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills. Ability to interpret analytics and translate data into actionable content decisions. Proficient in content scheduling and social listening tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar). Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously. Desirable Skills Basic proficiency in Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) for creating and editing visual assets. Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo). Understanding of SEO principles for blog and web copy.
