We are currently recruiting for an Area Service Manager for our Mole and Wey Wastewater Treatment Team. This exciting opportunity allows you to be a key part of our wastewater treatment business. You will lead a team providing specialist technical support to Performance Managers across the area, with a focus on maintenance. Your role will be critical in ensuring compliance and service levels are met now and in the future, while driving strategic maintenance improvements. What you’ll be doing as an Area Services Manager
1. Managing the budget for Minor Capital Works and Group Capex to enhance asset availability and resilience, ensuring assets out of service are promptly restored.
2. Optimizing the Maintenance Delivery Plan to improve Device Compliance, PPM completion, WRaP Score, and Lone Working Directive compliance.
3. Defining and implementing site improvements in collaboration with operational teams, including facilities, odour management, and skills development.
4. Providing technical advice based on your understanding of wastewater treatment processes and plant operations.
5. Promoting a safety culture with a 'Zero Compromise' approach through data analysis, Safe Systems of Work, and safety leadership.
6. Offering ad hoc technical support and liaising with contractors.
7. Working hours: Monday-Friday, 36 hours per week.
What should you bring to the role?
* BTEC / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical disciplines.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation; NEBOSH or IOSH qualification is desirable.
* Strong IT skills, especially in Excel.
* Experience in industrial mechanical/electrical maintenance, including planned and preventative maintenance.
* Experience in budget management.
* Proven leadership and coaching skills, with experience in team engagement and development.
* Experience mentoring apprentices is a plus.
