Job Description

The Environmental Field Specialist will leverage environmental SWPPP and SPCCC regulatory knowledge with civil/site development experience to ensure environmental compliance on an assigned construction site. This is a field-based position on a job site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Oversee solar site land development activities from design plan preparation through closeout to ensure environmental compliance.
* Evaluate land development plans during design and construction for environmental impacts.
* Coordinate with site management and subcontractors to ensure compliance with permit documentation and project requirements.
* Inspect subcontractors' work progress and address concerns with site management.
* Support and resolve civil/site development construction-related environmental compliance issues.
* Assist the site management team with all land development activities.
* Lead and support all site environmental compliance needs.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 2 years of land development experience or SWPPP and SPCCC inspections.
* Understanding of current environmental laws and regulations, especially CWA/NPDES standards.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting civil engineering plans.
* Ability to present to and interact with consultants and subcontractors.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

* Primarily outdoor work on construction sites in various weather conditions.
