About the role
This is a really important front line role. You represent us with every single customer you meet and their impression of Waitrose & Partners is down to you. So, as well as having a flexible approach and the ability to use your initiative to deal with unexpected situations, you should be passionate about providing the very highest levels of customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Due to the delivery/handling/selling of age restricted items, applicants must be 18 years or over to apply.
You will be the friendly face of our business - the helpful driver who delivers the unique blend of Waitrose quality and outstanding service to our customers' doors. When not out on deliveries, you'll assist in-store with stock control and cashiering, which may involve lifting heavy products.
This is a crucial front line role. You represent us with every customer, shaping their impression of Waitrose. A flexible approach, initiative, and a passion for high-quality customer service are essential.
A good understanding of health & safety is required, along with excellent driving skills. A driving assessment will be part of the application process.
Required essential experience, skills, and qualifications:
* Full valid UK manual driving licence with no more than six points
* Must be 18 years or over
* Licence and security checks will be part of the application process
Desirable experience, skills, and qualifications:
* Previous driving experience
* Knowledge of chilled vehicles
