About Us
Raj Medical Centre, based on Laceby Road in Grimsby, is a well-established GP practice serving a diverse patient population in an area of high socio-economic need. The practice provides a wide range of NHS primary care services, including chronic disease management, minor surgery, contraceptive care (including implants and coils), health checks, and childhood immunisations. It operates with a multidisciplinary team including GPs, practice nurses, a healthcare assistant, and a care navigation/admin team. As a teaching practice, it also supports medical student placements. Patients have access to online services such as appointment booking, prescription requests, and e-consultations, and the practice offers extended hours appointments on certain evenings.
The practice is rated Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), with particular strengths in patient safety, clinical effectiveness, and responsiveness. It serves a younger-than-average patient demographic, with relatively fewer elderly patients but higher levels of deprivation, making accessible, coordinated care a key priority. With a strong focus on continuity, digital access, and patient signposting, Raj Medical Centre aims to deliver high-quality, person-centred care while meeting the increasing demands of a busy urban practice.
