Overview
Grade 5 | Children’s Services — Senior Business Support Officer (SEND). We are seeking a part‑time, highly organised administrator to support the SEND Team within Children’s Services. The role involves delivering essential business and administrative functions, supporting statutory processes, and ensuring high‑quality services for children, young people, and families.
Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate day‑to‑day administrative processes across the SEND Team
* Manage complex diaries, meetings, and communications for senior managers
* Support statutory SEND processes, including data returns and reporting
* Handle enquiries from families, professionals, and partner agencies
* Produce accurate data, reports, and performance information
* Contribute to service planning and continuous improvement
You will play a vital role in ensuring that the service runs smoothly and that children and families receive timely and effective support.
About You
* Has strong administrative experience, ideally within a public sector or SEND/social care environment
* Is highly organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
* Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Is confident working with data systems and producing reports
* Understands the importance of confidentiality, accuracy, and safeguarding
A relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) or equivalent experience is desirable.
