No qualifications are required for this role — previous experience working in a childcare environment is preferred, and you must be willing to study towards a Level 3 Qualification in Early Years.

Pay: up to £26,436 per annum based on experience.
Working Hours: 40 hours, anytime between 7:30am – 6:30pm, Mon – Fri

About Our Nursery
Sunhill Day Nursery Royston is a bright, purpose-built, premium nursery offering three distinct learning enhancements for our children: Montessori, organic growing, and food and child-friendly cooking classes. These experiences help set our Royston nursery apart by encouraging an understanding of the environment, sustainable living, and cooking with organic produce. Our nursery comprises four rooms – baby, toddler, 2–3 year olds, and pre-school. Free onsite parking, accessible from the A10 and A505. If you don’t drive, we are within walking distance of the train station (train lines from Cambridge to London). Located on the edge of the commercial area in the northern outskirts of Royston, adjacent to Tesco, Johnson Matthey and other major employers, we are easily accessible by public transport and car. Parking is available onsite.
Your Role
As a valued member of our team, you’ll:
* Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
* Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
* Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
* Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
* Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
* Be a team player, offering guidance to apprentices and volunteers while learning from others.
