Offer description

Overview

Are you an experienced nutritionist, dietitian, or lifestyle medicine practitioner, who thrives on leading their team, creating impactful and engaging, evidence-based content for all audiences? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

What difference will you make?

We’re hugely grateful to every volunteer who gives their time to this project. Leadership roles need a commitment of 5-6 hours a week. All roles are unpaid but offer job satisfaction, fun, and the chance to make a real difference for future generations.

What are we looking for?

* A proven leader with experience of managing and developing a team.
* A seasoned nutritionist, dietitian or lifestyle medicine practitioner with a deep understanding of nutritional science and practical application to promote health and wellbeing.
* A strategist with a strong portfolio of creating or overseeing the creation of written content and/or educational materials.
* Excellent communication and coaching skills, with the ability to translate important and complex nutritional concepts into simple, actionable information.
* Someone with a passion for scientific rigor and with a track record of practical application of up-to-date nutrition and lifestyle knowledge.

What will you be doing?

In this role, you won't just be an expert; you'll be the driving force behind our nutrition and lifestyle content. You'll lead a team of talented nutritionists, guiding them to create materials that our delivery teams can use effectively in interventions to improve the health and wellbeing of children and families. While your team will handle the bulk of the content creation, you'll be the one to refine, approve, and ultimately own the strategy.

Responsibilities

* Own the Content Strategy: Develop and execute the overall content strategy for all nutrition and lifestyle content, ensuring it is practical, scalable, and aligned with our organizational goals and the needs of the delivery teams and their audiences.
* Lead and Mentor a large and experienced team: Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of nutritionists, fostering a collaborative environment where they can produce their best work.
* Sign-Off and Refine Content: Review and approve all content, ensuring it is scientifically accurate, clear, and easy for the delivery teams to use in real-world settings. You'll be expected to provide practical feedback and make hands-on improvements when needed.
* Drive Collaboration: Work closely with the delivery teams to understand their needs and challenges, ensuring the content we create directly supports their intervention efforts focusing on the needs of their target audiences.
* Maintain Quality and Standards: Ensure all content adheres to the highest standards of accuracy, quality and quantity, is kept up to date with emerging science and is presented in ways that can be easily understood by diverse audiences.
