Riccarton High School, Te Kura Tuarua o Pūtaringamotu, in Ōtautahi Christchurch has a roll of over 1,100 ākonga. We are proud to have 78 ethnicities represented in our whānau and are known for high achievement, inclusive practices and a strong sense of community.
The Board of Trustees seeks an exceptional leader to guide our kura into its next chapter of excellence.
Central to our culture is The Riccarton Way, guided by the values of Manawanui (commitment), Ngākaupono (honesty), Manaakitanga (respect), and Kairangi (excellence).
What else is different about our kura? We run an outdoor education programme at our own facility Orohaki; we share a library resource with Christchurch City Council; Te Koroī is the area of our kura nurturing students with special education needs; and we care for more than 100 international ākonga each year.
We are looking for applicants who demonstrate:
* Approachable, visible and relational leadership.
* Strong analytical and financial acumen.
* Passion for student voice and wellbeing.
* Crisis and risk management experience.
* Outstanding and authentic communication skills.
* Cultural and social responsiveness and inclusivity.
* A solutions-oriented mindset.
Our ideal candidate will be an inspirational leader who empowers both ākonga and kaimahi and fosters high expectations for achievement.
If you are interested in joining an innovative kura, we welcome your application. The Board will support the right person to grow their leadership skills as our kura continues to flourish.
