NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Senior Charge Nurse (SCN) Admin Assistant to join our dynamic team supporting Older People and Stroke Services in Clyde. This is a pivotal administrative role providing confidential and efficient clerical support to Senior Charge Nurses across acute wards.

As the first point of contact for SCNs, you will play a key role in managing communications, coordinating diaries, and ensuring smooth administrative operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for service improvement.

This role involves working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and requires a high level of emotional resilience. You will be expected to manage confidential data and support the SCNs in delivering high-quality care through effective administration.


Key Responsibilities

* Manage SCN diaries and coordinate meetings to ensure effective time management.
* Handle routine correspondence and direct enquiries appropriately.
* Maintain accurate filing systems and personnel records in line with GDPR.
* Input and manage staff data using systems such as eESS and SSTS.
* Prepare reports, presentations, and standard documentation.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including consultants, directors, and nursing teams.
* Provide cross-cover within the department and support audits and evaluations.
