Sales Ledger Assistant - Dudley - £(phone number removed) + Study Support
We're working with a growing business in the Dudley area who are looking for a confident and capable Sales Ledger Assistant to join their team. This is a key role focused on billing and invoicing (not credit control), supporting a busy finance function and working closely with other departments across the business. It's a full-time, office-based role to start, with hybrid working available once probation is complete.
You'll be part of a supportive team with hands-on guidance, but they are looking for someone who can hit the ground running. To be considered, you must have experience working in a property environment - whether that's commercial or residential - and a strong understanding of how billing and tenant charges work in practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update property and tenant records accurately
Process tenant changes, raise charges or credits, and update rent rolls
Reconcile tenant accounts and support accurate month-end close
Raise recurring invoices (monthly, quarterly, yearly)
Issue service charge budgets and reconciliations
Process utility, insurance, and other recharges
Prepare completion statements, refund requests, and bad debt write-offs
Liaise across finance and property teams to support smooth billing processes
Candidate Attributes and Skills:
Minimum 1 year's experience in a sales ledger or billing role
Previous experience in a property setting is essential
Strong Excel and general systems skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
Confident communicator, proactive and well organised
