Job Title: Maintenance SupervisorLocation: Washington areaRole Type: 2 Year Fixed Term ContractSalary: £45,177 + benefitsOur client, an established defence manufacturing firm, require an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join their multi-disciplined team in Washington, Tyne & Wear.As a Maintenance Supervisor you will be supervising and line managing a team of multi-skilled maintenance staff carrying out maintenance activities on our Washington site. You'll lead a team delivering high quality maintenance activities, ensuring workmanship, safety and reporting standards are consistently met.What the role of the Maintenance Supervisor entails:Overseeing the procurement of parts and materials, contribute to daily production meetings and create or review maintenance instructions and risk assessments. This role includes full people management responsibilities supporting your team to perform at their bestManaging teams to carry out maintenance activities, checking standards of maintenance and reactive work while coaching team members as required to deliver high levels of craftsmanship and job reportingCoordinating the department workload via SAP to ensure KPIs are achievedManaging failure data on equipment and generating breakdown reportsProcure spare parts and materials that are required for work ordersAttending daily production meetingsWriting and reviewing maintenance instructions and risk assessmentsWhat experience you need to be the successful Maintenance Supervisor:Time served Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship, preferably with HNC/HND qualificationExperience managing/supervising teams preferable within a manufacturing environmentSafety Qualifications (e.g.
IOSH, or willing to work towards IOSH qualification)Large manufacturing environment experienceExperience in computer management systemsCandidates would need to hold British nationality and have lived & worked in the UK for 5+ years and be eligible for SC security clearance.This really is a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to progress their career.
