The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a domestic assistant to join our team at Rutherglen Primary Care Centre.
The successful candidate will provide domestic services to patients, staff, and visitors of NHS Lanarkshire (NHSL) premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment that meets NHSL and Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) standards. The role includes supporting new staff in the working environment.

We focus on patient-centered care, with each team member playing a vital role in delivering healthcare services across a population of 655,000 in North and South Lanarkshire, covering rural and urban communities. Our services include Acute Services, Corporate & Property Support, and integrated primary healthcare and social care through our Health and Social Care Partnerships.
What you'll need to bring
* Knowledge of cleaning standards and procedures
* Willingness to undertake on-the-job training and induction (4-6 weeks)
* Understanding of Health & Safety, including risk assessments
* Completion of NHS Lanarkshire's mandatory training and standards
* Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
* Ability to work well with others and as part of a team
* Ability to perform tasks efficiently in a busy environment
* Basic IT skills
Note: A full UK/EU/EEA driving license is required if applicable.
Contract Details
Type: Permanent, Part-Time (16.10 hours)
Pro-rata salary for part-time position
Location and Working Pattern
Based at PSSD Department, Rutherglen Primary Care Centre
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 5am-8:15am, Friday 5am-8:06am
