Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for improving how things work?
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Power Solutions division as an Engineering Technician, where you’ll play a key role in driving production efficiency and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this is a broad and varied role offering excellent exposure to manufacturing engineering processes and structured problem-solving techniques such as Lean Manufacturing and 8D. You’ll receive training and support as you develop your technical skills in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.
This role is a full time, shift based role, comprising of early and late shifts.
What you'll be doing:
1. Developing in-depth knowledge of our production processes and equipment
2. Supporting the introduction of new parts, tooling, equipment and procedures
3. Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and leading continuous improvement initiatives
4. Responding to production line stops and implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime
5. Updating and maintaining manufacturing documentation, including operator instructions and inspection standards
6. Assisting with commissioning and validation of new equipment
7. Supporting structured 8D investigations and root cause analysis
