We're looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to support day-to-day financial operations across a group of companies. This role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to be part of a business where your input matters and a strong team culture.
Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant:
* Monitor finance inboxes and handle queries efficiently
* Process and review invoices, expenses, and credit card transactions
* Accurately enter and manage financial data using Sage 200
* Perform daily bank and intercompany reconciliations
* Assist with month-end and year-end reporting, including prepayments, accruals, and journals
* Support budgeting, reporting, and audits
* Help maintain costing schedules and analyse changes
* Set up new supplier/client accounts and ensure complete documentation
* Supervise and support a small finance team
* Contribute ideas for improving finance processes
Requirements of the Finance Assistant:
* At least 2 years' experience in a finance role
* AAT qualified or currently studying
* Solid experience in both purchase and sales ledger
* Sage 200 experience is essential
* Confident with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
* Strong time management and communication skills
* A proactive, supportive team player who can also work independently
