Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and well organised individual to join out already established Radiology central bookings team located at County Hall, Taunton. This is a part time role for 22.5 hours per week
The job role involves providing high quality bookings service for patients and in line with internal guidelines and within national targets.
This is very busy role with a high volume of calls and would suit a customer care driven individual who is able to use their initiative and have the ability to cope with the demands of the service and work effectively as a team member.
Main duties, tasks & skills required
To be the first point of contact answering inbound calls/making outbound calls to patients, referrers, relatives, carers and other members of staff routinely throughout each day.
Proactively engage with clinicians/GPs/staff and patients to enable effective patient flow through the pathway.
To manage patient lists operating in accordance with national and local targets ensuring efficient and effective use of out-patient slots.

Qualifications
Essential
ECDL or equivalent
NVQ2 in customer care, Medical terminology, or administration or equivalent
Desirable
NVQ3 in customer care, Medical terminology, or administration or equivalent
Experience
Essential
Proven customer care experience in a busy administrative environment.
Desirable
Experience of working in NHS Administrative office
