We’ve grown a lot recently and are still on our journey to get even bigger, so to ensure the IT team can help everyone get the most out of the technology they use every day, we’ve created a brand new IT Support team. Our IT Team is growing and we’re seeking a proactive and personable IT Support Technician to provide first and second line support to for our business applications and user devices. You’ll be the first point of contact for technical support, helping to keep our systems running smoothly. What will I be doing? Providing first and second line support for IT infrastructure and applications Purchasing and configuration of new user equipment based on SMI specifications IT inductions for new starters Running IT starter, mover, leaver processes Maintaining an IT asset register Management of tickets in Jira Documentation of issue resolutions Providing support to our Petersfield Head Office as well as our Distribution Centre and Manufacturing facility, both based in Fareham What do I need? To become an IT Support Technician with SMI you will need: An understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft M365 applications Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues Experience with Azure configuration including Entra ID and Intune Experience managing SaaS based applications Strong problem solving and communication skills It would also be great if you had knowledge of networking fundamentals Why join SMI?
