Job Description
We are looking for an Enterprise Architect/Engineer resource that has Azure and/or AWS experience, to support the outsourced build of both AWS and Azure (interfacing and assuring the build is delivered by a third-party vendor on behalf of the client).
Location preference:
* Location: Hybrid - MUST be able to travel to client office in Edinburgh 2-1 days per week, or as required. (Travel expenses can be covered by client).
Tasks and Deliverables, Azure Platform Lead:
* Lead the design and implementation of a Greenfield Azure environment
* Implement best practices for modern engineering, harnessing Infrastructure as Code to allow for repeatability and automation for deployments
* Design in a security-first manner, implementing security controls to satisfy our security requirements
* Working with test engineering teams to ensure the platform build is robust and fit for purpose
* Strong leadership and communication skills, working with technology leadership members
* Ensure the quality of engineering deliverables and identify skill sets and resource gaps in building teams, security-first
Additional Experience (nice to have):
* MS Fabric platform with associated data and analytic technologies
* Previous experience building a Greenfield environment, along with Azure certifications
* Experience working with material outsourcers

* Previous experience building a Greenfield environment along with AWS certifications

Required skills and experience:
* Proven Cloud Architecture experience with Azure and AWS
* Strong experience with Terraform
* Experience collaborating with different stakeholders and working with cross-functional teams
