Job Description: Geotechnical Engineer | Belfast
Vickerstock is delighted to be working with a young, ambitious design consultancy to support the recruitment of a Geotechnical Engineer. Founded in 2021 as a specialist water & infrastructure business, this company has experienced rapid, sustainable growth, expanding their service offerings to include Structural Engineering (buildings and heavy civils) and Geotechnical Engineering through industry experts.
Your new role as a Geotechnical Engineer
You will work alongside the newly appointed Associate Director for Geotechnical Engineering, providing expert support on a range of built environment projects including water & wastewater, civil infrastructure, and temporary works schemes. You will have the opportunity to work on ground engineering projects such as slope stability analysis, deep basements, load-bearing piles, retaining walls, and embankment design.
What you will need to succeed as a Geotechnical Engineer
* A degree in Civil Engineering
* A minimum of 1-year post-graduate experience in ground engineering projects, with a consultancy or piling contractor
* Commitment to career development and pursuing CEng status with the ICE or similar
