Priority Candidates will be considered in the first instance Haigh Woodland Park School Lane Wigan WN2 1PE Salary: Grade 12, 51,802 - 55,600 per annum. 37 hours per week Your role: The Head of Events is a key role in the Haigh Senior Management Team, working alongside commercial partners to develop and deliver an events programme that will generate significant revenue. The post holder will lead and manage a team responsible for planning, delivering, co-ordinating and promoting an exciting, diverse and commercially successful events programme at Haigh, across the estate and within the hall itself. Working closely with the Haigh Senior Management Team, commercial partners, volunteers and the local community. About you: You will demonstrate excellent leadership and organisational skills with significant experience of developing and leading on the implementation of safe systems of work and best practice measures within the events industry, in line with relevant legislation. You will have significant experience of developing events strategies and successful commercial events programmes. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with elected members, senior managers, partners and the local community. You will be innovative, flexible, highly organised and adept at establishing new ways of working to develop successful events programmes.
