We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Dental Hub Receptionist to join our Public Dental Service (PDS) to provide patient‑centred dental support in NHS Dumfries & Galloway. This unique opportunity will see you providing direct and indirect support to both patients and the clinical team. The position is within our Scottish Emergency Dental Service (SEDS) providing clinics from Dumfries Dental Centre.

The post holder would be required to work 7.5 hours per weekend, 1 weekend in 4 and work additional hours to cover public holidays, annual leave and sickness.

Office experience is essential with fluent computer skills being required. Dealing with patients at the clinic and by telephone, you must have excellent communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Working as an effective team member will be important in this busy clinic / office environment which will be demanding yet rewarding.

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
