*Job Overview*We are seeking a skilled MOT Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in conducting MOT tests on a variety of vehicles. This role is crucial in ensuring that all vehicles meet safety and environmental standards, providing peace of mind to our customers.We would also consider a vehicle technician qualified to at least level 2 but with a minimum of 4yrs servicing and mechanical repair experience.*Duties** Conduct thorough MOT inspections on vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal standards.* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and adjustments as needed.* Perform diagnostic tests to identify mechanical issues and recommend necessary repairs.* Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and any work carried out on vehicles.* Communicate findings clearly to customers, providing advice on any further work required.* Ensure the workshop is kept clean and organised, adhering to health and safety regulations.* Assist in heavy lifting tasks when required, ensuring safe handling of equipment and parts.*Experience** Proven experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar automotive role is preferred.* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle issues.* Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.* Ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary within the workshop environment.* A valid MOT testing certificate is highly desirable.If you are passionate about vehicle safety and have the skills required for this role, we encourage you to apply. We have been accredited as a Bosch car service outlet, which will happen in the near future.Opening hours are 8.30 to 5.30, 5 days a week.
