Are you a successful Service Technician or Vehicle Mechanic looking to take the next steps in your career? We are seeking a Service Technician to join our dealership in Reading.
The Service Technician will report to the Service Manager and will be responsible for meeting franchise and company standards in a service environment.
Key Responsibilities of Service Technician:
1. Undertake maintenance, service, and repair activities on motor vehicles of all types to the highest standards within scheduled times to meet company and franchise standards.
2. Repair, test vehicles, and diagnose faults as required by the Service Manager and supervisory staff.
3. Replace components, parts, lubricants, and consumables, and record usage.
4. Keep work areas clean, tidy, organized, and safe from hazards to health and safety.
5. Carry out work efficiently within manufacturers’ servicing and repair times.
6. Advise and report on vehicle faults and servicing requirements, including future servicing and repair needs.
The Ideal Service Technician:
* Qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent).
* MOT Tester.
* At least 2 years of experience after qualifying, preferably in a Franchise Dealership (or similar), ideally with Ford.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Take responsibility for the quality and quantity of work.
* Previous Ford training is highly beneficial.
