About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Worker to join our team. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe handling, storage, and movement of goods including car batteries, wires, and other metals. The role requires someone who can work independently, follow procedures carefully, and take responsibility for maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out general warehouse duties including loading, unloading, sorting, and storing materials
* Handling metals, car batteries, wires, and catalytic converters safely and responsibly
* Preparing goods for collection and delivery
* Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment
* Operating warehouse equipment as required (training provided if necessary)
* Completing paperwork and following company procedures accurately
* Working independently and managing time effectively
* Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
Requirements
* Previous warehouse experience is preferred ; training will be provided.
* Familiarity with materials handling techniques is advantageous.
* Experience operating forklifts.
* Knowledge of warehouse management systems is beneficial for efficient stock tracking.
* Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance as needed.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during shifts.
* Excellent attention to detail for quality control processes.
* Strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly workspace.
* Full clean UK Driving License.
* Physically fit.

Pay: From £12.21 per hour
