Role Summary: The Northern European Commercial Director will be responsible for leading and managing the regional operations, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring the achievement of business objectives within the European market. This role will focus on enhancing the company's market presence, expanding the product portfolio, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders. The Northern European Commercial Director leads and drives the commercial performance within the direct markets of the UK, Ireland and the Nordics to ensure sustainable achievement of strategic business objectives, commercial targets and financial objectives. The role will be responsible for maintaining the market share of our core products while developing revenue generated from our customer base and increasing our product offering of existing products. They will identify, select and launch products to market that are aligned with our strategy, underpinned by ‘best in market’ technical service and marketing. This role will report into the EU Commercial Director. They will also be part of the EU Leadership team, supporting strategy and leadership for the overall EU business unit. Key Role Specific Requirements: Business Commercial Success • Meets or exceeds financial business targets (revenue, margin, cost maintenance, EBIT). • Takes full responsibility for the UK, Ireland and Nordic’s region’s P&L • Works closely with EU Commercial Director to ensure market-level strategic and business objectives are met • Proactively seek, and convert business opportunities through effective relationship building and development throughout the Northern Europe Market. • Responsible for the business performance in the UK, Ireland and Nordic regions, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and objectives. Cooperates with the Nordics and Ireland Country managers to ensure obtaining the overall financial targets. • Maintain and grow market share of core products while developing revenue in the UK, Ireland and Nordic regions from the existing customer base and expanding the product offering Business Planning • Develop and implement strategic plans aimed at achieving business goals and objectives within the Northern European region • Develop a deep and practical understanding of customer needs within the market, Ensuring high level of “customer centric” focus • Cooperates with the relevant departments to ensure an optimal flow of information for future development • Support the development of regional customers activity across the Northern Europe region, EU and globally. Business Planning • Develop and implement strategic plans aimed at achieving business goals and objectives within the Northern European region • Develop a deep and practical understanding of customer needs within the market, Ensuring high level of “customer centric” focus • Cooperates with the relevant departments to ensure an optimal flow of information for future development • Support the development of regional customers activity across the Northern Europe region, EU and globally. Business Development • Ensure the successful identification, planning and exploitation of new products, brands or trade opportunities to develop the business in line with Bimeda strategic direction. • Ensure the successful, sustained development of business alliances and acquisitions. • Organically grow the business whilst focusing on Bimeda’s core product categories. • Develop relationships with key customers, building confidence and trust by demonstrating expertise, market insight, and commitment. • Builds Bimeda digital presence across the Northern Europe region, including e-commerce and digital marketing initiatives, in line with the EU and global strategies • Identify and utilize opportunities for strategic partnerships and/or distribution arrangements in order to gain a faster market presence, which fit with the strategic growth plans of the Company Relationship Building • Encourage an open, cooperative, result driven, and consultative approach in communicating with peer group, and management team across Northern Europe and the EU business unit. • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and functions to achieve financial plans and strategy. • Collaborate with other Bimeda General Managers and product specialists in other Bimeda countries to leverage existing best practice. • Treat people fairly, with respect, impartiality and consistency, and embrace Bimeda’s values. • Work closely with R&D / Regulatory Affairs function to ensure the sustainable supply of correctly registered products are available for and distributed to customers within relevant regional territory Business Performance Monitoring • Reports monthly on the regional performance of the business • Promote a positive external perception of the business • Develops robust regional business forecasting processes across the P&L • Work with professionalism, honesty and integrity, maintaining confidentiality at all times • Ensure efficient and effective processes are in place to measure and deliver on financial targets. • Actively monitor the financial performance against budget, and implement action plans as required Networking • Maintain and build out the customer network in within the Northern European Market (including customers, distribution, wholesalers etc) • Build relationships with key industry bodies across the regional eg Government, trade and regulatory departments • Develop industry and market intelligence and ensure that our planning, acquisitions and innovation agenda is informed and competitor activity is monitored.
