About The Role
HC-One is seeking a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and ideally some IT skills. Communication skills should be considerate and kind when interacting with residents and colleagues.
The Maintenance Operative will ensure that residents live in a well-maintained environment through proactive inspections and regular maintenance. Responsibilities include conducting audits, maintaining accurate records, and performing repairs such as replacing taps or mixer valves, fitting extractor fans, repairing timber on windows, or wallpapering, always prioritizing kindness.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate actions to take. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should be able to seek advice and report concerns, including escalation if necessary.
