Do you consider yourself to have great customer service skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships? We have a 12-month opportunity for a Customer Accounts Officer to work with customers regarding arrears management.
While this role may not appeal to everyone, you will see the benefits of providing a strong, supportive service. As a Customer Accounts Officer in the home ownership team, you will work with leaseholders to maintain a robust arrears management programme.
Your tasks will include following up on service charge arrears, agreeing on repayment plans, answering calls and emails, and visiting customers at their homes to understand their circumstances and achieve positive outcomes for both sides.
You will identify customers needing support and signpost them to relevant agencies or internal departments, building strong relationships along the way.
This is a part-time role, 18.5 hours per week, with flexible working patterns.
About You
Excellent customer service skills are essential, and you’ll understand how this can lead to positive outcomes. You’ll be a great communicator, able to adapt your style depending on your audience, knowing when a phone call or visit is appropriate. You should be competent in written communication for formal discussions.
You will have knowledge of rent and service charge arrears recovery, and be a strong administrator capable of working to deadlines, maintaining detailed records, and managing fluctuating workloads.
A flexible approach is necessary to meet customer needs, including regional travel. A UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required, as our operating regions include Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, and London.
