The Role
As a Junior Design Engineer, you’ll work alongside senior team members to support the design and detailing of custom-built products. You’ll be involved in producing CAD drawings for manufacturing and installation, attending design meetings, and liaising with internal and external teams.
Your responsibilities will include:

Producing 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor (training provided if needed).

Assisting in the preparation of fabrication and assembly drawings.
*
Supporting project teams with drawing packs, schedules, and documentation.
*
Helping to resolve site queries and reviewing design feedback.
*
Attending design reviews and client meetings (online or in person) where required.
The Person
We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, organised, and ready to learn.
You’ll need:

A qualification in Engineering, Product Design, or a similar field (e.g. HNC, HND, Degree).
*
Basic experience in AutoCAD (essential) – any 3D CAD such as Inventor or SolidWorks is a bonus.
*
A good understanding of engineering or manufacturing drawings.
*
A proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership of your own projects over time.
*
Good communication and organisation skills.
*
A full UK driving licence (due to office location).
Package & Benefits

Salary: Up to £32,000 (depending on experience)
*
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:00am to 4:00pm, Friday 8:00am to 3:00pm
*
Location: York – with hybrid working available long-term once trained
*
Holiday: 20 days + bank holidays
