Offer description

Department overview: The IT function at Aston Martin is a strategic enabler of business performance, innovation and long‑term competitive advantage. It provides the secure, resilient digital foundations that allow the company to design, engineer, build and sell world‑class ultra‑luxury vehicles, while actively driving transformational change across people, processes and technology. By modernising core platforms, unlocking the value of data, and embedding technology into business strategy, IT moves beyond traditional service provision to act as a catalyst for efficiency, quality, customer experience and new ways of working. In doing so, it enables Aston Martin to operate with greater speed, precision and insight, positioning the business for sustained success in an increasingly connected, digital‑first era. Job Purpose: The Head of PLM Programme is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of the PLM transformation, implementing Siemens Teamcenter as Aston Martin’s enterprise PLM platform. This role provides single-point accountability for programme strategy, governance, delivery, and value realisation across IBCM 1.0 and IBCM 1.1, ensuring an integrated BOM and Change Management capability that reduces manual data transfers and establishes a single version of the truth feeding downstream systems (including ERP). IBCM (Integrated BOM and Change Management) is focused on moving core BOM management and ways of working from legacy systems/processes into Teamcenter, creating an integrated BOM definition and connecting Engineering Change directly to impacted parts and data. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Define the PLM / IBCM vision, outcomes and phased roadmap for IBCM 1.0 and 1.1, aligned to business value and demonstrable outcomes. Lead the cross-functional programme operating model (cadence, governance, decision rights) spanning Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and IT. Govern executive engagement and escalation through effective SteerCo and senior stakeholder management, maintaining clarity on decisions and trade-offs. Drive the delivery of IBCM outcomes by enabling Integrated BOM and Change Management capabilities within Teamcenter, ensuring end-to-end alignment across DBOM, EBOM, MBOM, BOP and BOE in line with programme-defined scope and governance. Implement robust end-to-end Create, Change and Release management in Teamcenter, linking change directly to impacted parts/data and operational processes. Ensure automated, supportable integrations between Teamcenter and downstream systems (including ERP – Infor LN), reducing manual transfer/alignment points across the business. Direct delivery across the defined programme workstreams (e.g., solution, integration, data, testing, change, cutover/ELS), ensuring quality gates and go-live readiness. Manage the PLM programme team, maintaining transparent progress, benefits tracking and recovery actions when required. Manage delivery partners (multi-SI model including Siemens & Altea), owning SoWs, milestones, commercial performance, and escalation for outcomes over activity. Transition the delivered capability through cutover and early life support into BAU service, ensuring operational stability and adoption. Qualification & Experience: Educated to degree level or equivalent. Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 or equivalent certification. Proven Senior Programme Lead experience delivering enterprise PLM implementations. Hands-on experience delivering Siemens Teamcenter in a complex engineering/manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of BOM structures and enterprise change management, including integrated BOM and change/release governance. Experience integrating PLM with ERP platforms (Infor LN strongly preferred in AML context). Track record of mobilising/recovering complex, multi-partner programmes with tight governance and delivery discipline. Behaviours: Enterprise leadership; Executive stakeholder management; Outcome-based delivery; Commercial acumen; Structured governance; Decisive, fact-based trade-off management; Ability to mobilise cross-functional teams and partners.
